The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is one of the best resources for Arizona students' success.

  • EVIT provides high school and adult students with the advanced skills and training needed to thrive in today's competitive job market. Allowing students to create their own unique education pathway through a combination of high school and postsecondary programs, EVIT offers a non-traditional alternative for East Valley students. At EVIT, it’s your future, your way! Best of all, at EVIT, everyone is accepted.

What does EVIT offer?

  • Hands-on learning in over 50 career training programs -- secondary and post-secondary certificates, paid apprenticeships and associate degrees, including a fast-track nursing program with no waiting list.
  • Preparation to earn state and national licenses and certifications.
  • In partnership with Boeing, Honeywell and Intel, a STEM Academy that prepares students for immediate employment in high-tech manufacturing, aviation and engineering fields.
  • Dual enrollment college credits or prior learning assessments (PLA).
  • In partnership with Scottsdale Fire Department and Scottsdale Charros, a Fire Science Academy that includes Fire 1 and Fire 2 training.
  • Options for students to earn their high school diploma or GED.
  • A residential center on the Main Campus that provides safe housing and support services for students who are aging out of the state foster care system.

 Who may attend EVIT?

  • EVIT programs are tuition-free for high school students who live within the boundaries of 11 East Valley school districts – Apache Junction, Cave Creek, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Higley, J.O. Combs, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, and Tempe. This includes district, charter, private and home-schooled students, who spend half their day at EVIT and the other half at their sending high school or home school for academics.
  • EVIT post-secondary programs are tuition-based for Phoenix-area adults who just graduated from high school or adults who want to upgrade their skills and certifications or change careers. Adults may also enroll in EVIT’s high school programs if space is available.
