RN degree
Starting in August, EVIT will begin offering its second associate degree program, an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing. EVIT was notified this month that the Council on Occupational Education program. This will provide another option for Phoenix-area adults who desire to become registered nurses. EVIT’s first associate degree program, an Associate in Applied Science in Surgical Technology, started in January. Additional degree programs are in development.
HopeTech set to open
Twenty students have been accepted to be the first residents of HopeTech, EVIT’s apartment-style community on the Main Campus for youth aging out of the state foster care system. This first group of HopeTech residents will move in and start their career training programs in July. Eventually, HopeTech will house up to 64 students.
Great end to 23-24
In May, approximately 2,600 students completed EVIT career training programs, and their families and friends filled Cubs Stadium in Mesa over two nights to celebrate their accomplishments. The Class of 2024 earned thousands of industry licenses and certifications. In surveys taken in May, 92% of students said they would recommend EVIT to a friend, and 92% of parents said they would recommend EVIT to other families.
Opportunities for grads & non-trads
Through state CTED Completer Grants and In-Demand Funding, graduating high school seniors in the Class of 2024 have opportunities to continue their career training tuition-free at EVIT in 2024-25.
