Employers: 4,500 EVIT Students Ready for Hire
This month, over 4,500 students at EVIT’s central campuses will complete their career and technical education (CTE) programs – skilled, certified and ready for entry-level employment. The healthcare programs have the highest number of completers – 1,186 students ready for hire as medical assistants, nursing assistants, dental assistants and more. Need workers in the industrial trades? Over 870 EVIT students are ready to work in construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and welding. Time to Celebrate
EVIT will honor the accomplishments of our record-number of program completers at three Completion Ceremonies this month. If you’ve never attended an EVIT completion ceremony, we highly recommend it. It’s a colorful processional as thousands of East Valley high school students wear their high school graduation caps and gowns and follow their CTE program banners down the stands and onto the field at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale. The ceremonies are 7 p.m., May 19 and 20 and 10 a.m., May 22. For more details, visit www.evit.edu/completion.

New Welding Campus
In partnership with Mesa Public Schools, EVIT will open a new campus at Skyline High School to give students faster entry into welding jobs. Any student in the EVIT Career Technical Education District may enroll in EVIT Welding at Skyline. The program counts as a pre-apprenticeship to EVIT’s paid apprenticeship program for structural metal fabrication and fitting, which includes 8,000 hours of paid on-the-job training. This is EVIT’s second CTE partnership with the Mesa district. EVIT CNA at Red Mountain also opens in July as a campus for training certified nursing assistants.

Enrollment for 2026-27
EVIT is continuing to enroll high school students for the 2026-27 school year and adult students for programs starting this month, July and August. Many programs have waiting lists, but it’s not too late to enroll: EVIT Application.
