It is important to us that we provide you with accurate information. Please follow the steps below to complete your FAFSA.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You will need: Your FSA ID and password and your previous year tax returns. If you are under the age of 24 you may need your parental information as well.

Please note, additional documents may be requested if the student is selected for verification or there are additional items being requested to determine federal aid eligibility. It is imperative that all documentation be submitted by the required deadlines to receive Federal Financial Aid.

The student must ensure that EVIT's Financial Aid Office has accurate and complete information necessary to determine eligibility.

To apply for Federal Direct student loans, please complete the Undergraduate Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note. Additional Documents will be required to sign with the Adult Financial Aid Office.
EVIT’s Federal Financial Aid Office is mandated to report any suspicious fraudulent activity to the Office of Inspector General.

EVIT is approved for campus-based federal grants and federal student loans for programs approved for Title IV funding
EVIT accepts the Federal Pell Grant only, for approved programs beginning before January 3, 2024
Effective for approved programs beginning January 3, 2024, or after, EVIT accepts Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Student Loans.

VETERANS ADMINISTRATION FUNDING
EVIT is proud to help individuals who served in the military and are looking to find career training after serving their country. We accept Veteran Administration (VA) funding including the GI Bill®.
EVIT is in the process of applying to become a certified Veterans Supportive Campus. For more information on this process, please visit the Arizona Department of Veterans Services website.
ADULT CAREER TRAINING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
ARIZONA@WORK is the statewide workforce development network that helps employers recruit, develop and retain the best employees for their needs. AZ@WORK works with EVIT to provide financial assistance to approved individuals seeking training in a specific area of focus.

CARES ACT 2020
- East Valley Institute of Technology has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the institution intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
- East Valley Institute of Technology has received $236,124 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
- East Valley Institute of Technology has distributed $198,262 of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of October 1, 2021.
- East Valley Institute of Technology has 601 total students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
- The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is 400.
- East Valley Institute of Technology utilized a needs based application developed by a neutral Third Party to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
- East Valley Institute of Technology. Students applications were sent out on June 18, 2020 and the review process will begin immediately upon receipt and completed by September 30, 2021. All student notifications will be sent out by October 1. Checks will be mailed to eligible students by October 15, 2021 to their mailing address on file. EVIT PROGRAM ACCREDITATION
Adult Education @ EVIT is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and serves students age 18 and older across Phoenix and the East Valley in the areas of health care and nursing, industrial and commercial technology, human services and automotive technology. Programs provide hands-on training and required hours for students to be able to sit for certification exams once class is completed.
