HSE/GED® Program
- Students may enroll in the HSE course as a standalone program to prepare for the GED® exam.
- Students enrolled in the HSE also have the option to concurrently enroll in one of EVIT’s 48 career-training programs.
- Students may register for the GED® exam and take it on the EVIT Main Campus.
* Career training programs are tuition-free for those who qualify. Additional funding may be available
The Adult Basic Education Program at EVIT, recognizes and celebrates the uniqueness of each learner. Our program is designed to prepare students with the academic skills needed to pass the GED® exam and earn their Arizona High School Equivalent Diploma. Each student's learning journey is individualized, based on their learning needs and provides the support and guidance necessary for success.
We offer career readiness, flexible scheduling, personalized instruction, and a nurturing learning environment, to help empower students to achieve their educational and career goals. We're here to guide you through the process and ensure you're fully prepared for this important step in your educational journey.
Admission Requirements:
- 16 years of age or older
- not enrolled or required to be enrolled, in a secondary school as described in A.R.S. 15-802
- Are lawfully present in the United States, per A.R.S. 15-232(B)
- Identify as at least one of the following:
- Basic skills deficient (literacy and numeracy).
- Lacking a secondary diploma or its recognized equivalent.
- English language learner

Students enrolled in the online program must log at least fifteen (15) clock hours through the Essential Education Platform.
*This option is only available for students enrolled in the H.S.E. ONLY program. Students participating in career readiness must attend H.S.E. classes in person.
