EVIT's Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is fast-paced, allowing students to obtain the skills and knowledge needed to work as a first responder and certify once the program is complete. EMTs are often the first responders in an emergency and are the critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.

During the EMT program at EVIT you will learn:

  • To recognize, assess and manage medical emergencies in the pre-hospital environment
  • Emergency medical services and operations
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Medical terminology
