Adult Career Training: Welding
The EVIT Welding program prepares students to for a welding career with a variety of techniques and product-verification with weldment testing.
EVIT Main Campus is an accredited American Welding Society (AWS) testing facility.
During this 5-month program students will learn:
- Blueprint reading, tools and equipment
- Shielded Metal ARC Welding (SMAW)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
- Flux Cored ARC Welding (FCAW)
- Gas Tungsten ARC Welding (GTAW)
EVIT PROGRAM ACCREDITATION
Adult Education at EVIT is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and serves students ages 18 and older across Phoenix and the East Valley in the areas of health care and nursing, industrial and commercial technology, human services and automotive technology. Programs provide hands-on training and required hours for students to be able to sit for certification exams once class is completed.
