Fire & Emergency Services Program

The Fire and Emergency Services program prepares students for careers in firefighting, emergency response, and public safety.
 
Students also learn about fire protection history, public safety regulations, budgeting, and community relations.
 
Hands-on experience builds the skills needed to protect and serve as a firefighter, fire inspector, EMT, or paramedic.

Fire and Emergency Services includes instruction in:

Live-fire training
Search & rescue
High-rise tower drills
Operation of fire apparatus & equipment
Incident command leadership
Emergency medical services
Fire emergency response strategies & mitigation
Fire science student carries fire hose down the stairs
