Community Resources During COVID 19 Outbreak

Arizona Together

Gov. Doug Ducey has set up the Arizona Together initiative to support Arizonans during the COVID 19 outbreak. Visit www.ArizonaTogether.org to be connected to helpful resources or to volunteer.

The Find Help Phoenix website also provides listings and locations for a range of help – from child care to mental health services to food and clothing and more. Visit findhelpphx.org.

Need financial help?

Gov. Ducey issued an executive order that increases access to unemployment benefits for those who have experienced hardship due to COVID 19. For more info and to apply: https://des.az.gov/services/employment/unemployment-individual


Concerned about mortgages and rent?

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has directed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to suspend foreclosures and evictions for at least 60 days due to the COVID 19 national emergency. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has also suspended all evictions for HUD-financed properties.

Arizona homeowners may also qualify for principal reduction assistance, monthly mortgage subsidy assistance for under and unemployed workers, and second lien elimination assistance. Visit housing.az.gov/save-our-home for more info or call the Arizona Department of Housing, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (602) 771-1000.

In addition, Gov. Ducey has issued an executive order delaying enforcement of evictions for renters impacted by COVID 19. The order remains in effect for 120 days.


Need child care?

Arizona Enrichment Centers is a partnership launched by Gov. Ducey and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman to provide child care to children of first responders, critical health-care workers, and essential public sector workers. It was announced on Tuesday, March 24. More details will be released soon. You can also email questions about eligibility to  AZEnrichmentCenters@az.gov.
