These Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs combine foundational academic support with technical instruction so students can strengthen reading, writing, math, digital literacy, and professional communication while preparing for employment in high-demand industries.
All EVIT Microcredentials are offered in a blended format. Coursework is completed online, while required hands-on skills are completed in person. For example, students may complete CPR coursework online and then come to campus to demonstrate the skill in person.

Medical Billing and Coding
This Integrated Education and Training Medical Billing and Coding course prepares adult learners for entry-level careers in healthcare administration by combining foundational academic skills with workforce and technical training.
Students build reading, math, digital literacy and professional communication skills while learning to interpret medical records and healthcare documentation. Instruction includes medical terminology, insurance claim processing, and the use of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding systems, along with an understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes.
The program prepares students for industry-recognized certification opportunities, including the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam, and supports employment in high-demand medical billing and coding roles across a variety of healthcare settings.
Medical Administrative Assistant
This Integrated Education and Training Medical Administrative Assistant course prepares adult learners for entry-level administrative roles in healthcare settings by combining foundational academic skills with workforce and technical training.

Community Health Worker
This Integrated Education and Training Community Health Worker course prepares adult learners for entry-level roles as health navigators in healthcare and community-based settings, including public health agencies, clinics, hospitals and nonprofit organizations.
