Coronado Fire Science Academy

The Coronado Fire Science Academy, offered in partnership with Scottsdale Unified School District, introduces East Valley high school students to careers in fire service, emergency response and public safety.

Students learn the foundations of firefighting, fire behavior, emergency response, physical fitness, teamwork and leadership.

Hands-on training helps students build the skills, discipline and confidence needed to pursue future opportunities in fire science, emergency medical services and public safety.

Coronado Fire Science Academy includes instruction in:

Live-fire training
Search & rescue
High-rise tower drills
Operation of fire apparatus & equipment
Incident command leadership
Emergency medical services
Fire emergency response strategies & mitigation
