What is a non-traditional student?
The state of Arizona defines non-traditional as occupational training or fields of work for which individuals from one gender comprise less than 25% of the individuals employed in the workforce.
EVIT's definition of a non-traditional (or "non-trad") is a student who has accepted the challenge, with courage and commitment, to enroll in a program that is not considered traditional for his/her gender.

Why are non-traditional students valued and important?

Employers will give first consideration to non-trad applicants in regard to interviewing and employment opportunities. Employers need and want EVIT non-trad program completers!

Non-traditional students create employment opportunities for future generations by breaking stereotypes and closing the gender gap in the workforce.
